"The disciples were filled with joy when they saw the Lord. “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again. “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” After saying this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained” (Mt 20, 20-23).
What is sin?
Why should I confess my sins to a priest?
What is the différence between mortal and venial sins?
Does God always forgive my sins/the sins I repeatedly commit?
Is confession/absolution valid if I do not do the penance?
Do I have to confess the sins I’m ashamed of? What about the sins I’m not aware of?
Why is confession so important in Christian life?
These are questions we will be talking about during the sessions on the Sacrament of Confession....
