Starting with Scripture, and finishing with The Screwtape Letters of C.S. Lewis (Brieven uit de Hel in Nederlands), we will discuss the true place of the spiritual combat in our lives. It will be helpful to bring a Bible, if possible, as well as to read the book by C.S. Lewis in either English or Dutch.

2nd Meeting: Wednesday, March 14 “Your Affectionate Uncle, Screwtape”. Introduction to The Screwtape Letters
3rd Meeting: Wednesday, March 28 “Lead Us Not Into Temptation, or How to Avoid the Snares of the Devil”.

Faith basics: Who is the devil?
Just in time for Lent, Faith Basics is back to answer the question: Who is the Devil and what is the role of temptation in our Christian life? With new books and movies out every few months, such as The Last Exorcism, The Rite, and The Devil Inside, it’s obvious that the Devil is a hot topic.But who is he, and what does his presence mean in my daily Christian life? How does temptation affect me, and why does God allow it? Can I really say “The Devil made me do it?”, or do I have the power to resist temptation?
