Op zondag 25 oktober waren de broeders Ignatius Maria, Benedict-Charbel en Bernhard-Maria in het Willibrordushuis om daar samen een Heilige Mis te vieren voor de Engelstalige gemeenschap die daar jarenlang op zondagochtend een zondagsmis heeft gevierd.

Velen waren gekomen voor deze eucharistieviering en aan het einde van de viering heeft Rieza laten weten dat er gesprekken zijn om in het nieuwe jaar wellicht door te gaan met deze viering.

De broeders zijn heel dankbaar om deze gemeenschap te hebben mogen begeleiden over de laatste jaren. Br. Ignatius Maria heeft laten weten dat de broeders maandelijks blijven helpen om de Heilige Mis op de “Willibordusavond” te vieren, en br. Benedict-Charbel nodigde de gelovigen uit om de broedres in Utrecht te komen bezoeken waar ook wekelijks op zondag om 16.00 uur een Engelstalige Mis plaats vindt.

Br. Bernhard-Maria zei in zijn preek:

“We not only have to see and to understand the gospel, but we also have to taste it and to experience it. And therefore places are necessary where this can be experienced. The “Willibrordushuis” for several hundred years tried to be a place like that. This chapel is a real place of light and taste appreciated by many persons. We are coming together to celebrate this moment of presence of God among us. We are coming together to pray for the future of this house. May God grant to stay visible present here. Let us, as Christians, become aware that we are living stones in the church of God. Let us pray for the habitants of this house that they can form a community gathered in Christ to testify the efficiency of the gospel.”
